John Hanrahan, Broker Associate and Partner at The Group, Inc. Real Estate, has invested in the Fort Collins community in more ways than one for more than a quarter of a century. Although his role within the community might have shifted throughout the years, one theme always held true: His undeniable passion to help others.
John began his career as the Head Golf Professional at the Fort Collins Country Club. It was through mentoring players on the green that he first developed his passion for ensuring others reached their goals. The time spent with members during his 23 years at the club created relationships in the Fort Collins community that would last him a lifetime. That’s why when it was time for a career change, mentoring future home owners in purchasing their dream home was a no-brainer for John.
If you ask John about his favorite part of transitioning into the real estate world these past three years, he will tell you – aside from the opportunity to still hit the golf course with clients – it is the uniquely community-oriented nature of the industry. In his role at The Group, he is now able to give back to community projects in a whole new way, such as his time spent with the Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary, Colorado Youth Outdoors, CSU Athletics, Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity and the Gardens on Spring Creek.
Whether he is perfecting a swing or finding someone the perfect home, it is the joy John finds in cultivating memories and a sense of comfort in others that largely contributes to why it is so great to call Fort Collins home.
