Townsquare Media Announces New Series, DB8

Townsquare Media is proud to announce their new digital series, DB8 (“Debate”). The series was designed as a means to give equal perspective and voice to differing sides of issues facing northern Colorado today. This gives community members the opportunity to present their opinions on debatable topics.

For the first series, Townsquare has partnered Emmy-award winning filmmakers, HQ Creative, to present NoCo community members’ opinions on how the legalization of cannabis has impacted our area. Choice Organics, the first dispensary in America, is sponsoring the videos to help educate the public on a topic that affects them.

This series kicked off on February 4, and a new video will be launched periodically beginning on March 11. Because the legalization of cannabis can have different implications for varying groups of people, the series aims to address as many of those groups as possible. The first video discussed how legal cannabis affects kids. The second episode will address vaping, and subsequent topics will include the green rush and medicinal marijuana. Concluding the series is an episode titled ‘Lessons Learned from Colorado’.

The five-part video series will include interviews with various members of our community, including Senator Joann Ginal, a CSU professor, retired law officers, a high school teacher, a mother, and the founders of Choice Organics. The videos will also offer a glimpse into a behind the scenes tour of Choice Organics, which was Colorado’s first licensed dispensary.

Townsquare Media is posting each video to their YouTube Channel, NoCo Townsquare. The videos are also viewable on the various radio stations’ websites and apps including New Country 99.1, Tri 102.5, 99.9 The Point, 94.3 The X, and Rock 102.9. DJs will also be announcing the series on the air.
