Family & Cosmetic Dentistry of the Rockies is owned by two dentists, Dr. Murri and Dr. Willey, who have a passion for where they live and work. We R Foco did a question and answer session with both owners to hear more about what they love about Fort Collins and what influenced them to start a business here. Below are their answers!
Dr. Brandon Murri:
- What are the top 10 things you love about Fort Collins?
“It’s minutes from Estes Park and Red Feather, there are lots of great parks for the kids, and golf courses for me! Old Town is number four, and the great restaurants would have to be number five. You’re close enough to Denver, but also far enough away too. Fort Collins is a great event city, especially the Peach Festival and New West Fest. There are great Youth Sports Programs for the kids, and finally, you can actually golf and ski on the same day!”
- What inspired you to start your business here?
“I grew up in Idaho and my wife grew up in Southern California. We wanted an ‘in-between’ and started toying with Fort Collins. All of a sudden, people came out of nowhere, saying they lived in Fort Collins and loved it. We decided to come up and visit, and it immediately felt like home. After going to Estes Park and walking around Old Town, it was game over. We’ve loved every minute here.”
- Tell us about your family.
“We have three crazy boys, Ethan, Wyatt, and Emmett. We thought we would try for that elusive girl, and right before Christmas, we found out we were having a fourth boy! Kayden arrived on May 16th and we couldn’t be happier. Obviously, our three boys are very active kiddos, so we get them into sports and run them at a park any chance we get. The boys love basketball and golf.”

- What are the top 10 things you love about Fort Collins?
“Fort Collins has great golf courses. The mountain views are beautiful and you get all four seasons here. There are a lot of great sports teams in the area, like the Broncos, Rockies, and GO CSU RAMS! It is a very family-friendly area with great schools, and an overall great local community with friendly people. We love the active and healthy lifestyle here with trails around town for walking and biking, and Horsetooth Reservoir. The Christmas lights in Old Town are also awesome, as is the variety of restaurants in town. And finally, my family loves the Twin Silo Park.”
- What inspired you to start your business here?
“We fell in love with Fort Collins when we came out to visit. We knew right away we wanted to live here. It’s a great place to raise a family. We are thrilled to call Fort Collins home and look forward to many years enjoying what Colorado has to offer.”
- Tell us about your family.
“My wife and I have been married for 18 years and have recently welcomed a baby boy into our family, which gives us a total of four awesome kids. Our oldest is 14 years old and the only girl. She loves to dance and is looking forward to high school in the fall. The other three boys are ages 11, 7 and 6 months. They keep us on our toes and we love it. The boys enjoy playing and watching sports with me. Our baby gets a lot of attention and is mastering the art of rolling over. As a family we enjoy biking, golfing together, going to Rockies games and enjoying beautiful Colorado.”
