- How did it start?
Fort Collins Heating and Air Conditioning started in 1996 under this current name by Glenn Frank, the third generation. It was formerly known as Fort Collins Sheet Metal Co.
2. What is the history of the owners?
Fort Collins Sheet Metal Co was founded in 1934 by E.F. Woodworth. It was purchased in 1964 by Hollis Frank then sold to the grandson Glenn Frank in 1996 with name change to Fort Collins Heating and Air Conditioning.
3. Where did the business start to become where it is now?
Originally in the 30s the company would mainly focus on coal fired gravity heating systems along with architectural and custom sheet metal products such as gutters, fireplace utensils etc. With growth and technology advances, the company is primarily focused on energy efficient HVAC systems for homes and commercial buildings. We have also recently added plumbing services.
4. Where do you see Fort Collins Heating & Air in the future?
I see us offering electrical including solar and battery backup possibly.
