Job Description - Container Maintenance Welder

Summary
The Container Maintenance Welder performs fabrication, repairs, and maintenance on containers and related equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES
Work with the lead welder(s) and operations personnel to maintain welding schedule on all equipment.
Performs repairs and maintenance on container to maximize safe and productive operations.
Fabricates, modifies, and/or, installs container parts and equipment
Weld ferrous and nonferrous metals using MIG or arc
Daily communication with shop team, work cooperatively, proactively & effectively with customers and other fleet equipment vendors.
EXPERIENCE
For this assignment, we are looking for experienced individuals with 3-4 years experience in a Maintenance environment with Welding and Fabrication responsibilities. Review additional skills/education for this role:
Overall understanding of trucks and truck components with very good comprehension of truck buildup process
Understanding and proficiency in various welding processes
Basic understanding of metallurgy as it relates to welding
General understanding of electrical circuits
Good understanding of hydraulic systems
General mechanical aptitude
Ability to work alone with minimal or no supervision
GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS; WRITTEN AND ORAL
GREAT ATTITUDE AND DESIRE TO WORK WITH OTHERS!!!
