Creating Lasting Change One Student at a Time

In 2009, The OtterCares Foundation was founded by Nancy Richardson as a way to invest in education and empower youth. With innovation as the heart of Otterbox Products, Nancy was determined to create lasting change through philanthropy and entrepreneurship by believing that one young and inspired mind can change the world! Since then, OtterCares lifts students up by teaching them that they have the knowledge, the power, and the means to make a difference.

In an effort to show kids that no dream is out of reach, OtterCares has developed an impressive amount of programs and resources for our community.

ENTREPRENEURIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This program provides entrepreneurial scholarships to help dreams come true for our future business leaders in high school.
VORACIOUS VOLUNTEERS
With employees who are passionate about giving back, this program has raised more than $600,000. They also have one of the highest Volunteer Time Off usage rates in the country, with more than 80 percent of employees donating their time.
PACK2SCHOOL
This hometown event starts at the beginning of every school year and provides backpacks and supplies to thousands of students. Along with supplies, they also include activities that teach philanthropy and entrepreneurship.
INNOVATION STATION FUND
This program provides grants to help schools and nonprofits create Innovation Stations. These stations are equipped with hands-on learning tools for students to invent, explore and innovate.
PROJECT HEART
Project Heart is OtterCares innovative educational curriculum that provides 4th and 5th grade students, middle school students, high school students, and teachers the opportunity to learn and experience philanthropy. Designed by teachers for teachers, this resource is available at no cost to teachers everywhere.
