Fort Collins Nursery’s 2019 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off & Fall Jamboree

Join us for the 2019 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off & Fall Jamboree! – Fort Collins Nursery

The 11th Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off takes place on Saturday, October 12 from 10am-3pm at Fort Collins Nursery, located on Mulberry St. This is a Giant Pumpkin Commonwealth sanctioned event.

The competition categories include heaviest pumpkin, heaviest squash, Howard Dill or the prettiest pumpkin, and the kid’s division. The first-place heaviest pumpkin at the 2018 weigh-off weighed in at 1568 bs and the grower, Joe Scherber from Wheat Ridge, Co won a whopping $1,800. It was the heaviest to ever be entered at the Fort Collins Nursery Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off and the 2nd largest pumpkin grown in Colorado history!

Competitors from all over the region including Colorado, southern Wyoming, and eastern Nebraska will enter for their chance to win a variety of cash prizes. Registration and check-in runs from 10am-11am with weighing beginning at 11:30am.

If you’re not participating in the weigh-off, join us for the Fall Jamboree! The Jamboree takes place from 11am-3pm and includes a beer tent, food from Taquería Los Pepes, tractor hayrides, pumpkin bowling, face painting, and lawn games. All proceeds from the beer tent will benefit The Growing Project so make sure to stop by for a cold one!

With over $4,000 in cash for grabs, we’re hoping to break last year’s record at the 2019 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off! We hope to see you there!
