Free Shaves for Father’s Day At Silver Grill
Celebrate Father’s Day at Silver Grill Café with FREE old-fashioned shaves for Dad! On June 16th, 2019 from 9am-1pm customers will be offered free shaves with an old-style straight razor, shaving cream, and steamed aroma towels.
Silver Grill Café, Northern Colorado’s oldest restaurant is a tradition for breakfast and lunch in Fort Collins. The 86-year-old restaurant is known for its old-school style, homestyle cooking, and giant cinnamon rolls! 100 years ago located in the Silver Grill building was Palace Barber Shop. Back in 1917, the barber shop offered 15-cent shaves in one of the five buildings now conquered by Silver Grill.
In honor of Palace Barber Shop, Silver Grill Café will be bringing back the shaving legacy and offering free shaves to all the Dads on Father’s Day. Dads will receive old-fashioned shaves in vintage barbershop chairs out on the Silver Grill Patio.
Two local barbers of Fort Collins, Sammie’s Lucky 27 and Kennedy’s Lucky 27 will be delivering these old-fashioned shaves. As a part of the Father’s Day Service, these barbers will touch up beards and mustaches with shaving balm for a clean and shaped look.
These two barbershops are extremely popular within Fort Collins. They are always supporting the community by offering social nights for men, reduced prices for members of the military and their family members as well as law enforcement. In addition, they get involved and support community events like this one. Both barber shops – Sammie’s Lucky 27 and Kennedy’s Lucky 27 – are named after the daughters of owner Michael Lynn, which are now 4th generation family barbers.
Silver Grill will also be celebrating Father’s Day with an eggs benedict special called “Crabby Daddy”. This yummy breakfast consists of an English muffin topped with lemon marmalade, arugula, two fried softshell crabs, and homemade dill Hollandaise sauce.
